29 Years of Tradition

Since 1991 The Richmond Cribbage Club has been encouraging and promoting play of the game of cribbage.  Cribbage was developed in England in the 1630's and survives to this day in most English speaking countries of the world.  A fast moving game, excellent for teaching younger players how to count and assimilate numbers, Cribbage is often referred to as "the best two handed card game ever invented".

We play a nine game tournament every Thursday evening beginning on September 6 and concluding in May.   At the end of the season a club champion is determined based on cumulative scores over the year and the champion receives an invitation to play other club champions from across the country at the annual Grand National Tournament sanctioned by the American Cribbage Congress.
